PATRICK KIMANZI & WIPERPRESS
Founder and Trustee of Senior Chief Musyoka Muthisya Foundation Mr Justus Mutai Musyoka alias KYETHO has reiterated the commitment of the his Community foundation in supporting sporting activities in Mwingi North Constituency.
Addressing participants of the tournament that the foundation sponsored between Kyuso FC and NYS (National Youth Service) FC at Kyuso stadium which the foundation sponsored, Mr Musyoka said;
“My foundation was committed to uplifting the welfare of the youth through sports as a popular avenue to keep them out of drugs and crime”
Mr Musyoka reiterated the commitment of the foundation to enable the youth to continue building life skills through sports by organising tournaments and mini-leagues in different disciplines.
The foundation, Mr Musyoka said, will partner with other stakeholders in sports to keep providing sports equipment, kits and infastucture.
Before the tournament kickoff which ended on a 1-1 draw, Mr Musyoka distributed sporting and training equipment worth Ksh 100,000 to Kyuso FC.
Speaking at the venue Mr Musyoka said;”I can authoritatively reveal that the foundation has set side a substantive and sustainable budget for the next three years.
This budget will be used for promoting professional sporting activities in Mwingi Noth” said KYETHO.
The foundation will be working with other stakeholders to empower sporting activities.
“We will partner with our regional and i nternational partners to foster placement of our talented sportsmen and women into leagues where they can sposper.
These linkages are what we have been missing in Mwingi North” said a statement posted on the Foundation blog.
The Senior Chief Musyoka Muthisya Foundation foundation will foster partnerships between Mwingi the clubs and sports academies and other foundations involved in sports and youth talents.
NYS Locusts Eradication
Mr Musyoka applauded the NYS it’s their role in getting rid of the locusts menace in Mwingi North and thanked them thus;
“You have proved to be galant sons and daughters of Kenya. For this, he said, he had decided to sponsor the football tournament in honor of their great effort” said KYETHO.
Mr Musyoka regretted the prevailing attitude of leaders to hoodwick innocent youth with fake tournaments for their selfish gains.
“Even with public funds at their disposal they organize fake tournaments with no road map to empowerment.
How can you organise a tournament for clubs you have not even supported with training equipment? How can you use public funds to supply teams with plastic balls that cannot even last the second kick?
Where is value for money?
“Youth should refuse to be hoodwicked that easily” wondered KYETHO.
The Senior Chief Musyoka muthisya foundation will organise a tournament that will make a difference.
Clubs are encouraged to register with the foundation.
Registration is free
