KYETHO To Spearhead African Culture Preservation As WAMAIYU Pledges Support

Emerging prolific development hero in Mwingi North, the Founder and Trustee of Senior Chief Musyoka Muthisya Foundation fondly known as KYETHO is setting his eyes towards fasttracking preservation of African traditional culture in Ukambani, the COUNTY DIARY has learnt.

Addressing the media after
paying a courtesy call to Musyoka Nzili alias WAMAIYU, the celebrated Kamba traditionalist and gifted artist, Musyoka said;

“The promotion, preservation and sustainability of African traditional culture not only ranks amongst the Key Pillar of the community – based foundation but ensures that our culture is not eroded, lost and neglected.
The utter neglect of African and Kamba tradition is appalling and it is time someone corrected the folly’ said the Kenyan Educationist.
Mr Musyoka spoke after paying a courtesy call to WAMAIYU for the sole purpose of benefitting from his wisdom and experience as a reknown Kamba culturalist.
Meanwhile the Senior Chief Musyoka Muthisya Foundation is not only seeking ways and means of putting up support systems that will keep enhancing the promotion of cultural practises but will work with like minded partners towards promoting, educating and sustaining the noble and timely objective.
“We have a clear roadmap and a blueprint that will ensure a huge collection of Kamba songs, artefacts and short stories anthology. These will be preserved for posterity and for generations to come” said the former school captain of St Joseph’s Junior Seminary, Mwingi.
And as Justus Mutai Musyoka (KYETHO) embarks on the challenging yet rewarding mission, one can not fail to compare and contrast the politician with Joseph Murumbi — Africa’s most famous private collector.
Murumbi unique collections of art, artifacts, books, documents and postage stamps span the African continent.

The two leaders (KYETHO and Wamaiyu) have therefore resolved to work together moving forward.
Mr WAMAIYU has fully pledged his support to the Foundation activities to enable it achieve it’s noble objectives.
